IC & OOC Interactions
(Category B)
In City Charter
All actions within the server should be perceived and performed in character unless it is obvious otherwise, nor should OOC comments be made IC.
One should also avoid using βtexting languageβ in their text chat. Avoid using emoticons and acronyms such as βXDβ or βLMAOβ.
Out Of Charter
Itβs quite normal for roleplay to spark emotions in the players involved, do not let negative emotions influence the roleplay scenario. Your characters are your characters and you are you. Do not make negative comments in /b or attempt to harass an individual elsewhere for something that happened in roleplay.
Repeated targeting of an individual will result in increasingly severe punishments. These rules also apply to any SVRP, Discord, Forums, etc. It is expected that you carry yourself with civility on these platforms, especially when it comes to others voicing their opinions that may conflict with your own. It is never justifiable or tolerated to approach another member of the community with malice OOCly.
OOC is to mention technical issues and other issues you are having and do not spam /OOC chat in game. Other than those you can use discord support channels or /report to get help. Also RP appreciation should be done through the discord.
Recording
The usage of recording software is allowed OOCly to record in game given that proper RP is performed around its use. This being said, RPing the use of a bodycam is restricted to only LEOs, as it is not realistic for everyday citizens to walk around with body cams 24/7. The following are alternatives for non-LEO players to use their recordings ICly:
Dash cams in vehicles can be used and assumed to always be on while the car is on if the player has proof of their RP installing it.
CCTV cameras will ICly be found in Secure Areas, High Density Areas, and Businesses, and any recording using CCTV as its relevant RP should note the limitations of CCTV (i.e. incredibly short range audio).
Cell phone recording is allowed with the proper RP surrounding it. There will be an animation for holding your phone out to record to assist this RP. Please keep in mind that your cell phone cannot be used as a replacement for a full time bodycam.
NOTE: This proof is only valid for 24 hours as batteries would not last any longer realistically speaking, for example. A continuance RP can be made if you find yourself passing this time in one session. (e.g: changing an SD card or batteries.)
Roleplay Quality
SVRP is considered as a server with quality RP.. This requires further reading and gaining knowledge of the Rules of the server.
All of the roleplay observed in-game will be closely monitored by staff. If we deem that your roleplay is not up to the standard of the server then you shall be spoken to by staff.
Examples of roleplay not allowed includes:
β/do S*β for success or any simple role play.
Death Roleplay (Death RP) is allowed on this server. However, players are not allowed to force their own death. It will only be granted to individuals that provide high-quality roleplay both to the server and the community.
The Police Department and the Emergency Medical Service are able to permit death RP. This will be based on the roleplay leading up to and during. Once death RP has been denied, this will not be changed or argued.
Any wounds sustained are NOT grounds for death RP, this includes but not limited to gunshot to the head or chest. Getting stabbed by a bladed weapon. Run over by a vehicle at speeds.
Voice RP is only acceptable in situations where there is appropriate RP leading up to the situation.
You cannot be reliant on voice alone where the outcome has a significant impact on the other (for example; attempting to rob someone through Voice RP alone would not be sufficient, and use of /mes and /dos would be required to support this
Character Killing
Character killing is when your character dies permanently. The player must agree to a CK before it can be carried out, and it cannot be forced on a player for any reason. A CK will result in the loss of the following:
Character Life β You no longer have access to play this character or roleplay their story ever again. (character slot deleted)
Assets β All assets that are connected with this character are lost, unless are passed on by the means below. The assets you are trying to transfer must NOT be a character of your own but instead another member of the community.
Property β Are lost and returned to the government for sale. Unless left in a Will to another party. Property must NOT exceed 2 properties, this does NOT include personal items within the house.
Player Owned Businessβs β Are lost and returned to government for sale. Unless there is Co-Owner or left as part of a Will.
Vehicles β Are lost and returned to the government for sale. Unless left in a Will to another party. Supercars are NOT permitted to be passed on under any circumstances. A maximum of 2 cars can be left as part of a Will.
Money β Is lost and may not be recovered by any party. Unless left in a Will to another party. The amount may NOT exceed 40% of Characters cash holdings.
Guns β Are lost and may not be recovered by any party. Guns are NOT allowed to be passed on by any means.
Will β If you wish to transfer assets after your character is killed, you MUST have an approved Will notarized by a member of the Department of Justice (LSDOJ) or the San Andreas Government (LSGOV), and filed with the Government Contracting Office. This ensures your assets will end up at the requested party after the character killing process has been completed
Staff will be reviewing any CK requests for indications that it is being used as a vehicle for Real World Trading (RWT), which is strictly prohibited. If there is any suspicion of RWT attempts, the Will will not be honored.
Character Killing must be accepted before the roleplay is carried out. If medics are trying to treat you during this situation you should inform them in /ooc beforehand to let them know whatβs about to happen.
